Services Provided and Fee Statement
How long it will take from offer acceptance on your sale or purchase until the moment the keys change hands depends on numerous factors. The average for freehold property is between 7 and 9 weeks with leasehold taking a little longer. We are often able to deliver a quicker transaction, but when a property sale or purchase is part of a chain, then that chain can only move at the speed of the slowest party. That said, Gray Hooper Holt use all of the latest advancements in both technology and conveyancing methodology so as to shave off vital days wherever we can.

From the outset, we take great care to ensure that our fee structure is fair and transparent and we include a great many aspects of the conveyancing transaction within our single fixed fee quote which other firms often add as additional legal services. This means that when you get our quote you can rely upon it. In the event the initial estimate is incorrect due to the information on which we based the quote being inaccurate, or if it comes to light during the course of the transaction that additional work will be required which was not envisaged at the outset, we will advise you as far in advance as we can and always before incurring costs.

Our Services – Sale and Purchase statements, which can be downloaded from this page in Adobe PDF format or provided in hardcopy on request; set out precisely what will be included in the fixed fee quote and our fees for those additional legal services which are genuinely unavoidable. We can confidently state that the great majority of our conveyancing matters complete within the initial fixed quote.

You can also download our terms and conditions and our full customer service and complaints processes as PDF documents from this page. Copies of these documents will always be included with our welcome pack should you elect to instruct us.

No two property transactions are the same so rather than attempt to summarise all possible fee illustrations on this page, we invite you to obtain a free, no-obligation quote for our services by Clicking HERE.

Finally, if you are in any doubt about the conveyancing process, then the last PDF link is for our free conveyancing guidebook, which explains at each stage what we will be doing and what the buyer or seller will be doing, but also offers some handy tips to help your property transaction go smoothly.
