Merger September 2007

Gray Hooper Holt LLP was formed following the merger of two successful solicitor practices in 2006. Now only a year later Gray Hooper Holt LLP has merged with Douglas Solicitors in Redhill to increase the range of specialist legal services it is able to offer.

Robert Gray, the Senior Partner of the new partnership commented:

"It has always been my intention to provide a wide range of legal services to our clients with small specialist teams of lawyers. The merger with Douglas Solicitor not only strengthens our existing specialist conveyancing, personal injury and family law teams, but also provides completely new services in the form of company/commercial and employment law. Arthur Li of Douglas Solicitors has an excellent reputation in these areas of law and is able to supply all commercial services to business start ups and existing business He is a real asset to the merged practices."

Whilst the merger between Robert Gray and Co and Hooper Holt only happened a short while ago, the opportunity to merge with Douglas Solicitors was too good to miss as they too strive to provide specialist legal service through teams of expert solicitors".

Arthur Li, the founding partner of Douglas Solicitors said

The merged practices will continue to trade under the name of Gray Hooper Holt LLP .Douglas Solicitors will be a trading name of Gray Hooper Holt LLP.

Merger between Robert Gray and Co and Hooper Holt 2006

One of the oldest law firms in Redhill has merged with one of the newest. Hooper Holt Solicitors, formed in 1905, has merged with Robert Gray & Co (1990) to form Gray Hooper Holt LLP.

Robert Gray commented on the merger: " Robert Gray & Co specialised exclusively in personal injury claims. Often clients were keen for us to help them with other legal services but we were not able to do this for them. We have merged with Hooper Holt because they are able to offer a range of legal services but until now not personal injury claims. Like us they have built their practice based on the quality of legal advice offered to clients ensuring that their legal needs are met promptly and with minimum fuss. "
